Use of Social Media

The College of Nursing adheres to the University of Arizona’s Social Media Guidelines. All students in the College of Nursing should review the white paper produced by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing and the information provided by the American Nurses’ Association in an eBook format and the Social Media Toolkit. Additional information regarding the use of social media in the clinical setting is provided to students in the clinical handbook.  Students are cautioned to limit/eliminate the use of social media in clinical to avoid potential violations of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
