Spring 2024 Convocation Ceremony

The College of Nursing Spring 2024 Convocation Ceremony will be held on Thursday, May 9 2024, at 9:00am in Centennial Hall: 1020 E University Blvd Tucson, AZ 85721.

Congratulations on your achievements in the College of Nursing! We are excited to celebrate your accomplishments with you!

Important Ceremony Details

RSVP:

All students who are eligible and would like to participate in this ceremony must complete the corresponding RSVP Form below before 5:00pm, Monday, March 11^th.

Guests:

All graduating candidates will receive eight (8) tickets for guests. Children not occupying their own seat do not require a ticket. Tickets will be available to pick up in the Office of Student and Academic Affairs approximately two weeks before the event – and at Will Call on May 9th.

Pins:

One of the traditions for graduating pre-licensure students is the official college pin. Orders due by Monday, March 11^th

Regalia (caps, gowns, tassels, hoods):

Proper academic regalia for the College of Nursing is identified in the table below. You may purchase all regalia at the UA Bookstore on main campus or online. To guarantee that the bookstore will not sell out of your graduation items, you must order by Monday, March 11^th.

• Important Note from the UA Bookstore: All orders are considered pre-orders and may not be fulfilled until the week of Commencement. If you have any questions about this, please contact the medical UA Bookstore at 520-626-6669.
• For out-of-town students who order close to the deadline, if you will be in Tucson the week of Commencement and you don’t receive your order within 1-2 weeks of placing your order, please call the bookstore to change your order to in-store pick up.
• Spring 2024 Gradfest is happening on March 12-March 14 at the UA Bookstore. This is the place to get regalia, rings, portraits, etc. More details about Gradfest can be found here.

What to wear

Stoles:

Nursing Stoles are allowed but not required. To guarantee your nursing stole is received in time for the Convocation Ceremony, please place your order by Monday, March 11^th.

Student Keynote Speakers:

We are inviting you to represent your cohort as a student keynote speaker. We will be choosing one prelicensure student and one graduate student to read a 3-5 minute speech during Spring Convocation. Deadline to submit your speech will be Monday, March 11^th. Please submit your speech through the following: Spring 2024 Student Keynote Speaker. See attached flyer for more information.
