Dr. Ćwiękała-Lewis is internationally recognized for her work in nursing and healthcare. Dr. Ćwiękała-Lewis has PhD (Nursing) with a minor in Education Technology at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. Education Technology is the considered implementation of appropriate tools, techniques, or processes that facilitate the application of senses, memory, and cognition to enhance teaching practices and improve learning outcomes.
Dr. Ćwiękała-Lewis is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Translate Nursing LLC. Translate Nursing is a healthcare career development company, specializing in providing online continuing education classes, mentoring and career advising for healthcare professionals. Translate Nursing LLC utilizes digital technology such as social media, online games, animated case studies and applications, multimedia, productivity applications, cloud computing, interoperable systems, and mobile devices as part of course curriculum for many online asynchronous courses. Digital technology is also used to further support student learning outcomes by offering the students mentoring and carrier advising sessions via virtual meetings.
Dr. Ćwiękała-Lewis has held a variety of staff, management, administrative and education positions during her nursing carrier. She is also a passionate humanitarian with the goal of bringing care and comfort to people in need, whether it is volunteering in the American Red Cross as Regional Nurse Leader or organizing fundraisers to support saving of human lives or the alleviation of suffering.
Her areas of expertise include education technology innovation, digital healthcare, management, and leadership for-profit and nonprofit organizations, Parkinson's disease symptom-management with complementary and alternative medicine as an intervention as well as disaster preparedness.
Ms. Ćwiękała-Lewis currently serves as online faculty in the RN-MS program within the University of Arizona and an online faculty in the healthcare administration track within the University of Phoenix. She holds a BS degree in nursing from Cedar Crest College, MS in Nursing Leadership in Health Systems Management from Drexel University and Ph.D. in nursing with a minor in Education Technology at the University of Arizona. Ms. Ćwiękała-Lewis is a board-certified Advanced Public Health Nurse (APHN) and Edmond J. Safra Visiting Nurse Scholar at the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation.
