University of Arizona Cancer Center's Cancer Research: Present and Future Conference

The University of Arizona Cancer Center’s Cancer Research: Present and Future trainee-focused conference will be held on September 30th, 2022 in the Student Union North Ballroom.

This conference is free to attend and open to trainees of ALL levels. On the conference website, there is a link to register, a brief agenda, and information about our wonderful invited speakers. The day will be filled with tailored professional development workshops, trainee presentations, and a chance to hear from two inspiring speakers. Breakfast and lunch will be provided, and we will also award cash prizes for outstanding presentations and posters. Those interested in presenting a poster (due date to submit is September 1st) and/or 3-minute thesis can sign-up on the conference event website. A note that conference abstracts will not be formally published, which means it is totally acceptable to present research that has been presented before or even published. We view this conference as a great way to get some more experience talking about your research and networking with others in the field. If you are mentoring undergraduate or graduate students, we would really appreciate encouraging them to submit an abstract and/or present a 3-minute thesis as it would be a great "low-stakes" professional development opportunity and CV builder.

During the conference, attendees will also have an opportunity to get 1-on-1 feedback on their CV or resume. The planning committee has really pulled together a great day of learning, networking, professional development activities, and of course, free meals!
