Dr. Bertie Estrada is an accomplished, high energy, and dynamic professional with solid and diverse experience. She has led varied teams of professionals to new levels of success in a highly competitive industry and fast-paced environment. Her nursing background includes clinical and leadership experience in the intensive care, perioperative, periprocedural, primary care, and educational areas of the healthcare and academic settings. Bertie stays highly involved in the community and has served as an elected member of an elementary school board.
Dr. Estrada is currently working as a Clinical Assistant Professor, Simulation Nurse Coordinator for the University of Arizona. Degrees earned are a doctoral degree in behavioral health, a master’s degree in nursing with an emphasis on nursing education, and a bachelor’s and associates degree in nursing. Her certifications include neuroscience (CNRN), perioperative (CNOR), and healthcare simulation education (CHSE).
Dr. Estrada’s goals related to nursing are aspirations that she feels compelled to share in order to benefit others. She teaches with excitement, innovation, and energy born of true passion. She loves to ignite the spark of enthusiasm for learning within her patients and students. She strives to enhance the learners’ experience by helping them become co-creators of their healthcare education goals. Dr. Estrada takes great joy in recognizing the student’s efforts and joins them in celebration of every successful outcome.
