Health Care Informatics

This post-master’s certificate in Health care Informatics can be completed in 9-15 months part-timeand is designed for those with a graduate degree (master’s or higher) and a healthcare background (nursing, medicine, public health, dentistry, nutrition sciences, pharmacy, etc.).

The curriculum prepares graduates as leaders with advanced competencies essential to informatics within healthcare organizations. As the demand for informatics expertise continues to grow, the graduate with these skills will be meeting national health care needs. To do so, instruction provides content and skills for creative application of informatics to solve healthcare quality and safety challenges and achieve optimal organizational outcomes. This certificate will allow us to meet diverse needs of learners who are seeking advanced preparation to secure new roles or to perform their current role with greater effectiveness. 

It is not required that the individual has previous experience in healthcare informatics.

Applicants are notified of their admission decision in the middle of April.
