We encourage international students to become
part of our University of Arizona family! Whether you choose one of our
online programs, or join us on campus, during our time together, we will
have many opportunities to learn about each other’s cultures and
ideas, and this diversity will strengthen our profession.
Some of you may be spending time in Tucson, working side by side with
faculty who specialize in your chosen research area. Numerous research-associate
opportunities are available for you, as well as for students living abroad.
You'll find details on the Nursing Research Web pages.

these are near the campus and offer many types of cuisine, from Mexican

Shopping and Services:
Shopping, banking, hair-styling, and other services are located on the
campus perimeter, notably just west of the Main Gate. For greater selection
and price comparison, visit one of the four large malls or the many neighborhood
shopping centers scattered around the city.
Entertainment:

Theater, music, dance, and art abound in Tucson. UA Presents offers an
international variety of entertainment at reasonable prices-and performances
are right on campus. Also check out the many offerings at the College
of Fine Arts-including the on-campus art gallery and Center for Creative
Photography. Because we are such a diverse community, there are many ethnic
festivals throughout the year.
Tucson hosts three major-league baseball teams during spring training
and is home to the minor-league Tucson Sidewinders from mid-May to early
September. You can see UA athletes compete in intercollegiate sports,
including tennis, rugby, swimming, football, golf, and many others. The
Wildcat men's basketball team is consistently one of the nation's best.
Unique and spectacular is the world-renowned Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum,
featuring an exotic array of plant and animal life just west of the city.
