The College of Nursing Departmental Review Committee is charged with reviewing all Human Subjects materials before they are sent to the Campus IRB. The Committee reviews faculty and student proposals.
The Departmental Review Committee meets the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month. Project Review/Approval Forms must be submitted 1 week prior to the meeting. Forms received less than 1 week prior to the meeting will be reviewed at the following meeting. All forms are reviewed in the Office of Nursing Research before being sent to the Committee.
After departmental review, one member of the Committee will provide feedback to the investigator if revisions are needed. The Committee member will review the recommended revisions for approval and sign-off as Chair of the Committee.
When all signatures have been obtained, the form is then sent to the campus IRB (Human Subjects Protection Program).
